It has been put to medicinal uses since ancient times. And now people drink nettle tea for its good tastes, health benefits, and calming properties.

About nettle herb

Nettle is an herbal shrub that is grown in northern Europe and Asia. People also refer to it as Urtica Diocia, and the shrub possesses heart-shaped leaves with flowers over it. The leaf, stem, and roots of the herbs are used in the herbal treatment. Besides, the stem has hair that produces chemicals when touched.

It is holistically used in the treatment of allergies, kidney problems, infections in the urinary tract, etc.

Here are top-most benefits of using nettle leaf:

Loaded with nutrients

The leaves and the roots of the nettle leaf offer a variety of nutrients to patients and the healthy person.

Nettle herb also contains antioxidant that prevents the body from cell damage and reducing the process of aging.

Good for pregnant women

The vitamin K in the nettle herb improves the development of the blood clots and hemorrhage in the newborn babies. It also boosts the production of milk in the women breast-feeding their babies.

The tea made from nettle leaf is a potent diuretic to produce the urine in those with low kidney function. Moreover, the need for dialysis is also reduced as it cleanses the blood of the waste, reduces creatinine levels, uric acid, and control infection in the kidneys. It also promotes urine production and helps in dissolving stones.

Boost immune system

Nettle leaf has lectins in them that help to neutralize the toxic agents in the body. It strengthens the immune system of the body and improves skin and hair health.

Soothes allergies

The anti-inflammatory properties of Nettle leaf can treat asthma, arthritis, eczema, and other conditions that induce allergies. The expectorant present in the nettle leaf can soothe the pollinosis if you drink tea made from the Nettle leaves three times a day.

Helpful in anemia

The iron sufficiency in the nettle leaves can help in the increase of hemoglobin production and red blood cell production.

Lowers blood pressure

Traditionally, stinging Nettle was used to treating high blood pressure for the reason that it helps to produce nitric oxide, which works as a vasodilator in relaxing the blood muscles. In addition, the Stinging Nettle has several compounds that reduce the force of contractions and relaxes the heart muscles.

The nettle leaf promotes urine and helps to flush bacteria down from the urinary tract.
