The connection between kidneys and the human body!

The human body needs proper nutrition and care in order to keep all of its functions running. The most important functions of the body is handled by the major internal organs, which includes the heart, brain, kidneys, lungs, and liver. One of these internal organs is the perfect view of the term multitasking as these organs are shaped like beans and about a size of a fist- The kidneys handle a whole lot of duties that are stated as essential in keeping the whole balance of the body. The bean-shaped organs are defined as the powerhouse that is packed with functioning abilities that work for the completion of its vital duties every second. They manage the blood pressure, balance the electrolytes, and, most importantly free the body from toxicities; they are the overall filter and disposing system of the body.

But what happens when a kidney harming disease attacks the functioning rate of the kidneys and the body loses its whole balance and experience a strike of complications.

The outcome of reduced functioning of the kidneys has dire consequences on the body. The balance of the body and the functioning order of the kidneys becomes interrupted as kidneys become unable to handle their important functions. Various kidney harming conditions are the villains that lead the kidneys to reach the verge of impairment. This impaired kidney function can progress and result in a life-threatening condition which is kidney failure or end-stage renal disease.

That is why an effective treatment is necessary in order to restore the function of the kidneys in time.

Ayurveda’s approach to the treatment of kidneys

According to the ancient medicinal science of Ayurveda, a healthy diet and lifestyle are the two main principles that can help procure good health and liveliness of the human body. That is why ayurvedic treatment for kidney problems contains ayurvedic diet charts and lifestyles. In the ayurvedic diet chart, Kidney enhancing superfoods are added in order to boost the functioning of the kidneys. These superfoods include Kidney friendly fruits and vegetables, which have natural healing capabilities and components that do not hamper kidneys.

One of the superfruits that are the package of nutritional components is Watermelon.

Is Watermelon for kidney patients a safe option?

Watermelon is the king of nutritional components that are used in healing various aspects of the human body. It has natural healing capabilities that have proven to be beneficial for the body. From maintaining the central system of the body to providing benefits to the tiniest cells in the body, Watermelon is considered everyone’s favorite summer fruity snack. Healthy individuals prefer Watermelon as a great dietary option because it is low in fats and fulfilling. If you are on a diet, eating Watermelon can help you reduce cravings for other sugary items or packaged foods. Hence eating Watermelon comes with a whole lot of health benefits. The liquid ratio of Watermelon is up to 92% that helps in maintaining the hydration of the body, and prevents the body from excess heat of summers. Delivering an array of nutrients, minerals, and vitamins, Watermelon has become the best thing about summers.

It is clear that healthy individuals can consume Watermelon but is it suitable for kidney patients. Let’s magnify the points that prove that Watermelon is good for kidney patients.

When a person suffers from kidney problems, the kidneys become unable to balance the levels of blood pressure and electrolytes, due to which the accumulation of waste products, electrolytes, and excess fluids occur. That is why ayurvedic treatment plan designs diet charts that include fruits and veggies which can not hamper the kidneys. Watermelon is considered a kidney-friendly fruit because it is full of lycopene. Lycopene is an antioxidant that helps in breaking down the harmful free radicals of oxygen, and it reduces inflammation. It averts kidney injury and enhances the functioning abilities of the kidneys. Ayurveda states that Watermelon is a natural diuretic that helps in increasing the urine flow and does not strain the kidneys. It frees the body from toxins.

The bottom line states that watermelon for kidney patients is a great dietary option that can be added to a renal diet as it has essential components that do not hamper the kidneys and boosts their function. However, Watermelon for kidney patients is a safe passage towards a healthy renal diet and good health of the Kidney.
