How to prevent Coronavirus through Ayurveda?

by Karma Ayurveda Health
in Coronavirus

Ayurveda is a breakthrough in the lives of people dealing with diseases and infections. Coronavirus is a lethal infection that has affected globally in huge numbers. It is now the stage that people are dying of coronavirus without indicating symptoms. Recently, Amit Rana, a Delhi Police constable, had to lose his battle with coronavirus without being aware of the situation. He did not indicate any signs or symptoms, just fainted and lost his life forever. So, because of such scenarios, it is better to stop the invasion of coronavirus in our body. The Ministry of AYUSH is conducting clinical trials to find Ayurvedic medicine for coronavirus in collaboration with the Ministry of Health. The world knows the power of Ayurveda; it is natural prophylaxis of even chronic diseases. In this crucial time and having the instance of Late Amit Rana, it is imperative to take precautions and prevent the effect of COVID-19.

Ayurvedic medicines for kidney diseases like Ashwagandha, Yashtimadhu, and Guduchi Pippali are a part of the trial. The trial would be conducted on the healthcare workers and all the other frontline workers. In a conversation with the press and media on 7th May 2020, Dr. Harsh Vardhan said “Today is a very important day, as a historical work has begun in India today. The clinical trials of Ayush medicines like Ashwagandha, Yashtimadhu, Guduchi Pippali, Ayush-64 on health workers and those working in high-risk areas have begun today”

The Ayurvedic trials have begun and the impacts would certainly pave a new prospect in the battle against coronavirus. After the launch of the Arogya Setu App by the central government, the AYUSH ministry has launched a new application ‘AYUSH Sanjivani.’ The efforts have made to analyze the impact of coronavirus and to spread awareness about the usage of AYUSH advocacies. Amid the outbreak of coronavirus, Karma Ayurveda health strives to spread awareness about the Ayurvedic prevention of COVID-19.

Viewing the preventions through the eyes of Ayurveda

COVID-19 is glooming globally and the number of deaths is increasing every passing day. Symptoms like cough, flu and high fever are still the early signs of coronavirus but witnessing the asymptomatic death is heart-wrecking. Thanking the Ayurvedic trials that are in process to pave a new hope in fighting the battle against COVID-19.

Today, the whole world is up to conquer against the outbreak of novel coronavirus. The team of healthcare providers, sharing the different specialties are coming together to fight back the effect of COVID-19. The director and Ayurvedacharya of Karma Ayurveda Health, Dr. Puneet Dhawan shares a video message with the world at the official Youtube channel ‘Karma Ayurveda’ that ‘ There is no need to fear the coronavirus. Take precautions and the guidelines given by the Indian government. This is a situation that can teach us a lot about respiratory hygiene and the value of staying fit. Nevertheless, you should follow the preventive measures properly to keep yourself and your family protected.’ He also has suggested a few preventive measures that can help in improving the immune system.

With great pride, he says that the wonders of Ayurveda that got lost amid the allopathic treatment are now evolving again. People now understand the core values of Ayurveda and its healing properties. The adjunct of Ayurvedic medicines for kidney diseases is now being used to treat the problem of the novel coronavirus. As discussed earlier that herbs like Ashwagandha, Yashtimadhu, and Guduchi Pippali are a part of the two Ayurvedic clinical trials. It may amaze you to know that the herbs, spices, vegetables, and fruits are also a part of the Ayurvedic medicines. From the moment people heard about the outbreak of COVID-19, they are wandering to keep themselves protected and secured. Ayurvedic experts around the world emphasize the consumption of amla, giloy, shilajit, and neem which help strengthen immunity.

Since childhood days we have been given a tablespoon of chyawanprash to boost immunity. It is still applicable and you should have it every day. But boosting immunity wouldn’t be enough; you should have better digestion too. To boost the processing of digestion, a fire element plays a key role. Spice like ginger is the best source of fire and you can consume in the forms of ginger tea. If you are allergic to ginger or don’t like the taste, you can use alternatives like mint tea, cinnamon tea, and fennel tea. With growing concerns about the prevention from coronavirus with Ayurveda, consuming Ayurvedic herbs like tulsi and giloy can provide profound amounts of benefits to human anatomy. Nasya, a therapy used in Panchakarma is an oiling therapy that treats the problems of nose, throat, sinuses, and head. Other measures that you should follow regularly are:

  • Wash your hands frequently with a bar of soap and water for twenty seconds.
  • Maintain a distance of three meters between you and others.
  • Avoid travelling to crowded places.
  • Avoid touching your face, eyes and nose again and again.
  • Follow good respiratory hygiene.
  • Self-isolate even observe minor symptoms of cold, cough and fever.
  • Seek medical attention as soon as you start feeling breathing problems.
  • Maintain a daily update of the effects of coronavirus.
  • Use an alcohol-based sanitizer only when there is no source of water and soap around you.

However, people with weaker immune systems and medical history/condition of various diseases, elderly people and infants are at the highest risk of getting affected with coronavirus. As for kidney patients, who are undergoing dialysis frequently it becomes difficult to move out daily. Their body is weak and so the immune power. Such patients should not put their lives at risk and seek Ayurvedic kidney disease treatment to stay protected and out of the protocol of painful dialysis.

Witnessing the daily cases of people dying because of kidney failure + coronavirus, diabetes + coronavirus, etc. is worth a concern. To remove the barricade between the regular treatment and restrictions because of COVID-19, Karma Ayurveda Health is providing online services and doorstep delivery of Ayurvedic medicines for kidney diseases (in Delhi).
